The Chinese lineup for this year’s Shanghai Diamond League on May 14 was announced by the Chinese Athletic Association yesterday. Most of the country’s top track athletes will compete in front of their home crowd at Shanghai Stadium as an opportunity to prepare for the Rio Olympics this summer.

Chinese Lineup of 2016 IAAF Diamond League Shanghai Confirmed

With two extra disciplines (men’s 4*100m Relay and High Jump) for a total of 18 events this year, around 40 Chinese athletes will appear in Shanghai. The men’s 4*100m relay team, which won a silver medal in Beijing last summer and broke the Asian record, will be among the favorites.
